Take Care of The Risk That Phablet Extenders May Bring You

Recently, security experts raise a warning that your information in your phablet will be leaked if you have a cell phone extender in your phablet.

According to the experts, an app named Femtocells is widely used these days. They're basically a mini cell phone tower you can buy to extend coverage in places where you have a weak signal. But security experts say they're very easy to hack and someone could wind up seeing every text or photo you send out, or even record your phablet calls.

"You do need some level of technical skills, but people are learning those skills in college, breaking into one of these devices or device like this is within the realm of smart people working at home," said Security Consultant of iSEC Partners Tom Ritter.

phablet companies say they believe these range extenders are secure and say they're constantly working to find any issues that could make them vulnerable to hackers. However, before the solution is put forward, phablet holders should reduce using the range-extender, learn to protect personal information.
